This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on myfuturesolutions.co.za, what each one does, and how you can control them. By “cookies” we mean small files and similar tools (pixels, tags, local storage) that store or read information on your device.
1. The categories we use
Essential cookies Always on
These are needed for the site to work, for example remembering your cookie choice. They do not track you for marketing and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie / item | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| mfs_consent (local storage) | Remembers your cookie preference | Until you clear it |
Functional third-party services Always on
To make the site work, we load a small number of third-party resources. When your browser fetches these, the provider technically receives your IP address and basic browser information. They are not used by us for marketing:
| Service | What it does | More info |
|---|---|---|
| Calendly (assets.calendly.com) | Powers the "Book free consultation" popup. If you book, the details you enter (name, email, time) are processed by Calendly. | Calendly Privacy |
| Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) | Delivers the typefaces used on this site. | Google Privacy |
Links on this site to WhatsApp and Instagram only pass information to those platforms if you choose to click them. Our instant quote tool runs in your browser and sets no cookies; when you submit your contact details, they are sent to us through our website host to prepare your quote. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle that information.
Analytics cookies Consent required
With your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us, so we can improve the site. It collects data such as your IP address (truncated), device and browser, pages viewed and time on site. It does not tell us your name.
| Provider | What it collects | More info |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Anonymous usage statistics | Google Privacy |
Marketing cookies: the Meta Pixel Consent required
With your consent, we run the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. This is what it does and what it collects:
- What it is: a small piece of code that fires when you view pages or take actions on our site.
- What it collects: your IP address; browser and device information; the pages you view and buttons/actions you take; the date and time; and identifiers such as cookie IDs and (where available) a hashed version of contact details.
- Why we use it: to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work, and to show relevant ads to you and to people with similar interests.
- Where it goes: this information is shared with Meta, which may process it outside South Africa under its own Privacy Policy.
| Provider | What it collects | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel (_fbp) | Page views, actions, IP, device, cookie IDs for ad measurement & retargeting | Up to ~90 days (Meta-set) |
2. How we ask for consent
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept all or choose Essential only. Analytics and marketing tools (including the Meta Pixel) do not load until you accept. This reflects POPIA's requirement that consent be voluntary, specific and informed.
3. How to control or withdraw consent
- Reset your choice on this site at any time:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram account settings.
